Currently one of the most active venture capitalists in Italy and bringing a sound experience in global and European leadership positions among multinational industrial organisations. Combines financial, technological and managerial competencies with academic and research appointments.
He is a member of the High Level Group on Innovation Policy Management, an independent, tripartite and temporary initiative launched in 2011 by the Presidency of the Council of the European Union and tasked to elaborate recommendations on how to develop Europe’s innovation policy.
Nicola was part of the Informal Advisory Board of the Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research, and is member of the Expert Committee for Industry-University relations of the Association of Italian University Rectors (CRUI). He is also advisor to the Trans Academic Initiative on Innovation among the Adriatic Countries (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece).
