Sorrentino-Sergio My decision to apply for a position as Adjunct Professor at Luiss Business School is mainly driven by the desire to share with other people both my theoretical knowledge and my work experience. I believe my work experience (18 years at Bank of Italy and 10 years in the private sector covering different positions) can be valuable for a business school, where practical experience should be blended with a robust theoretical and institutional background.
In the last few years, the developments seen in the banking industry, both at national and international level, has mainly been fostered by changes in the regulatory environment; this makes it important to be able to put the main strategic and operational goals set by the banks in a wider market and institutional context. The positions covered in the private banking sector gave me the opportunity to go in depth on all the major issues faced by top management both from a strategic and operational standpoint.
