Luca Pirolo (PhD in Management) is a researcher in the field of Corporate and Business Strategies at the LUISS Guido Carli University (Rome, Italy). Currently he is also the Director of LUISS Business School’s Creative Business Center and of the Masters in Art, Fashion and Media Entertainment Business. Furthermore, he is a reviewer for various journals focusing on Entrepreneurship, Business and Management (e.g. International Journal of Economics and Management Engineering, Academy of Management, Journal of Small Business Management etc.)
Recently (2015) he was Visiting Researcher at the Creative Industries Department of the Queensland University of Technology. Earlier in his career he was Visiting Researcher at the Department of International Business Studies at the University of Uppsala in Sweden.
Luca’s research interests space from Project-Based Organisation and Business Performance Measurement in creative industries (with a special focus on music, fashion, cinema and television) to social capital in the processes of creation and running of new enterprises, to the dynamics of implementation of the outsourcing strategies, to the processes of international growth in small and medium businesses. He performed research projects at the national and international level and presented his work at the main conferences on management field. Moreover, he is author of manuals, essays and scientific papers at national and international level.
He is a member of the Academy of Management (AoM), Strategic Management Society (SMS) and The Italian Society of Management (SIMA).
