Research aims

The project aims to analyzing the knowledge exchange networks and the diffusion of innovation in the paediatric professional communities. In particular, the main goals are: (i) testing social network theories on the exchange of knowledge and advices within professional communities, (ii) developing a theoretical model of the occurrence of knowledge exchange networks in paediatric care and their impact on the professional practice as well as on the diffusion of innovation; (iii) producing recommendations about the organisational models for the integration of primary care and hospital paediatricians through the assessment of knowledge integration and innovation diffusion results.
