Soft Skills Lab

Few years ago,  LUISS Business School has launched a project entitled “What Companies want“. Surprisingly, more than 200 companies involved in the study have provided the same answer: Soft skills!

The figure emerged, is that despite the unquestionable importance, “hard” skills are not enough to be a good manager, indeed. As noted by Prof. Luca Giustiniano, Associate Professor of Management at LUISS Guido Carli, the more you climb the organizational pyramid, the more soft skills scale become crucial for themselves and their employees.

The Lab aims to refine skills and interpersonal skills, enabling students to acquire effective communication strategies that are essential to fill positions of responsibility. The course includes participation in activities of Team Work Role Playing and other types of simulations on issues such as Negotiation, Public Speaking, Self-Management.

Project Management Lab

The Lab focuses on the main and potential opportunities related to project management. The Lab is based on achieving a goal-oriented logic in the presence of a triple constraint: time fixed, precise and quality resources. These skills are necessary and indispensable for anyone who already has, or aspires to occupy, positions of responsibility.

Project Management processes will be explained through the telling of cases or “Lesson Learned”, particularly representative. Retracing major Project Management processes the Lab focuses primarily on planning and control of projects.
