Torrisi-AlfioThroughout his career he has held positions in academia, banking and industry. He has been Associate Professor in Economics and Finance at the University of Naples, the University of La Verne (California-USA), the John Cabot University (in Rome), the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the LUISS Guido Carli University, the LUISS Business School; Senior Economist at Banco di Roma (Rome) and FIAT Holding (Turin); Chief Economist at the Institute for Industrial Reconstruction (IRI), in Rome; Vice-President of the Economic Policy Committee of CEEP at the European Commission in Brussels; Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Planning Division, Italian Stationary Office and Government Mint, Rome (IPZS).
He has authored or co-authored numerous publications focusing on Strategic Alliances and Industrial Policy, Financial Management and Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and Companies’ Ownership Structures in the major four European Countries. In these areas of research he has been guest-speaker at many international conferences in Italy and abroad.
