Induction<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The induction is mainly for candidates to settle into the programme and familiarize themselves with life on campus. Ice-breaking labs, seminars, workshops, and presentations will be organized. Participants will meet their fellow candidates, faculty and alumni and will get a good understanding of the services offered, as well as the curricular and extra-curricular activities planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foundation Courses<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Foundation Courses aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of applied research methods
and methodologies by accompanying skills and abilities that will prepare candidates to undertake research for their DBA thesis in the field of higher education management. The Foundation Courses are taught throughout the programme on-site as well as online (synchronous and asynchronous) and will be available for all DBA candidates at Luiss Business School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Course 1<\/strong>: Social Research Methods \u2013 Writing skills, questionnaire design, interviewing & observational
    methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Course 2<\/strong>: Statistics \u2013 application of descriptive and inferential statistics<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Course 3<\/strong>: Epistemology \u2013 examining problem in applied management research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Core Courses<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The core courses provide candidates with an in-depth perspective on how to apply competencies to the higher education industry. Core courses are divided into 4 Modules and will be taught over the first 1,5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
