Economist and essayist

He has been living for more than 30 years between Italy and the US. He has 20 years of professional experience in Investment Banking. First in New York at JPMorgan, then in Milan at Mediobanca. During this timeframe he provided financial advice to several international clients on mergers, acquisitions and other corporate finance transactions in the US, Europe, Asia. He served three mandates on the Global Agenda Council on Banking & Capital Markets of the World Economic Forum. He is an independent member of several Boards of Directors, Advisory Boards and Scientific Committees.

He teaches International Economics and Monetary Policy, Economic Growth & International Affairs at Luiss Guido Carli (Rome) and International Economics at Università Cattolica (Milan). He also lectures at ASP-Alta Scuola Politecnica, Polimi Graduate School of Management, Luiss School of Government. Senior Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2013-15 was Visiting Fellow at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of Johns Hopkins Un. in Washington, DC.

He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Rome and an MBA from Columbia University. He is an AFS and a Luciano Jona scholar. He has completed programs in leadership and public policies at Harvard Kennedy School, Jackson Institute for Global Affairs at Yale University, and Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of Singapore. In 2010, he was appointed Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum of Davos.

He is the author of Sette Anni di Vacche Sobrie (UTET, 2013), Creating Economic Growth (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014), Terra e Buoi dei Paesi Tuoi (UTET, 2016), Fatti non foste a viver come robot (UTET, 2020), Making the Global Economy Work for Everyone (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022), L’Onda Perfetta.
