Michele Costabile is a professor of Management and Marketing at the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, where is also Director of the Master of Science in Marketing.
He has an extensive teaching and research experience in Italy and abroad, both on graduate and on executive education programs.
He is author and co-author of many books and papers published in Italy and abroad on Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Interactive Marketing. He served on the board of the European Marketing Academy as the Italian Nation Coordinator.
Michele Costabile has been Deputy Rector of University communication, student counseling and graduate placement at the University of Calabria (1997-2007), where he also directed the PhD program in Management (2004-2007) and supervised the Summer School Program on Research Methodology in Management and Social Sciences (2006-2012), by far the most important in Italy and one of the best reputated in Europe.
Michele Costabile has been advisor for many mid-sized Italian companies and big global corporations. For many of them he also delivered expert opinions and valuations on intangible assets.
He has also served as Director and as Chairman of the Board in several high-tech companies, and as CEO at Principia SGR, the leading venture capital company in Italy until he has been the Chairman of the Board (July 2014). He co-founded and chaired Techgarage Association, involved in organizing business plan contests in Italy (www.techgarage.eu) and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
He is advising (since 2016) the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MIBACT) in order to manage the turnaround of some of the most prestigious and historical Italian Opera House.
He is currently Member of the Board of Directors at LUISS Guido Carli University.
