Gian Luca Gregori graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ancona in 1985 with a mark of 110/110 and declaration of Honours. He won a position as University Researcher at the University of Ancona within the Institute of Business Sciences for Group 21, taking up his position on 6 July 1987. He then continued his academic career as Associate Professor in Economics and Business Management at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ancona from November 1999 to December 2002. In 2002, he took part in the competition to become Full Professor in the SECS P/08 group; after winning the competition, he was appointed by the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ancona. He currently teaches Marketing and Business Marketing. In 1993, he spent a period of study at the University of Edinburgh, under the guidance of Prof. J. Dawson. He was Head of the Management Area of the Diploma in Economics and Business Administration, dealing with the management of various organisational and administrative issues. He has been President of the University Diploma in Economics and Business Administration, continuing to hold the position of Head of the Management Area for the same Diploma. In 2000, he was appointed to the Faculty Council as Head of Communications. His research activity is mainly focused on issues relating to the economics and management of enterprises, marketing and various economic-business aspects inherent in specific industrial sectors. He has taken part in numerous national and international research projects; to date, 174 scientific publications have been produced (articles in national and international journals, essays and monographs) and he has spoken at numerous conferences, both in Italy and abroad, on business management issues. He is a member of scientific committees and editorial boards of scientific journals, for which he also acts as a reviewer. He collaborates with Luiss Guido Carli University and Luiss Business School, having the ownership of various teachings belonging to the Marketing area. He was Head of the Internship Commission of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ancona, for the development of interaction with companies. In July 2000, as President, he led to the acquisition of the ISO 9001 Certification, the University Diploma of Economics and Business Administration, the second in Italy. Since 2000, he has been a member of the Italian Academy of Business Economics (A.I.D.E.A.) and was a member of the European Association for Education and Research in Commercial Distribution (E.A.E.R.C.D.). Since 2003, he has been a member of the Italian Marketing Society and since 2004 he has been a member of the editorial committee of the magazine “Mercati e Competitività” of the same company. On delegation from the Rector, he was Head of the Campus One national project for the University, representing the Polytechnic University of Marche at CRUI; he is currently Head of the Campus World Project. He was coordinator of the three-year degree course in “Economics, markets and business management”. From October 2005 to October 2007, he was Deputy Director of the Department of Management (formerly the Department of Management and Industrial Organization). From November 2007 to October 2009, he was Director of the Department of Management (formerly the Department of Management and Industrial Organisation). In 2007, he held a series of seminars on marketing issues at Tongji University in Shanghai (China). In 2007 and 2008, he was general coordinator of the European Interreg “Padmalab” project on destination management of the Adriatic area, which involved various national and international bodies and institutions. From December 2006 to October 2009, he was Vice-Dean of the “Giorgio Fuà” Faculty of Economics of the Marche Polytechnic University. Since 2011 he has been coordinator of the series of monographs referred to as “Gestione d’Impresa” published by Franco Angeli. From 2 November 2009 to 10 April 2014, he was Dean of the “Giorgio Fuà” Faculty of Economics of the Marche Polytechnic University. He was Director of the Doctoral School of Economics. From October 2011 to 2015, he was Vice-President of ISTAO. He was a member of the Regency Council of the Bank of Italy in Ancona. He is a member of the Presidency Council of the Italian Marketing Society. Since 25 June 2018, he has been Chairman of the Steering and Supervisory Board of CUEIM (University Consortium of Industrial Economics and Management), which associates 24 universities. Since 2 November 2013 he is Pro-Rector of the Polytechnic University of Marche.
