The Labs, provided\u00a0free of charge, <strong>are reserved exclusively for\u00a0participants\u00a0of\u00a0the Executive Education\u00a0Programs enrolled from 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For more information: <a href=\"mailto:marketingcomunicazione@luiss.it\">marketingcomunicazione@luiss.it<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>AdVenture Lab<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A laboratory based on four meetings dedicated to <strong>entrepreneurship<\/strong> and <strong>start-up management<\/strong> utilizing the teaching model of <strong>learning by doing and social learning<\/strong>. During the tutoring phase, for project development of start-ups, each group will be followed by a tutor.\u00a0In addition to the\u00a0Business School professionals, startups managers will be involved that\u00a0have already passed\u00a0the stages of\u00a0designing, planning, and\u00a0early\u00a0stage financing.<\/p>\n<p>The main goal of\u00a0the\u00a0LAB\u00a0is <strong>to\u00a0develop and enhance\u00a0the\u00a0entrepreneurial mindset\u00a0of participants<\/strong>,\u00a0&#8220;training&#8221;\u00a0to the challenge of\u00a0entrepreneurship\u00a0including through\u00a0practical experience in\u00a0the design,\u00a0definition\u00a0of the business model,\u00a0business plan\u00a0preparation\u00a0and activity of\u00a0business\u00a0funding\u00a0for\u00a0a new initiative,\u00a0from which they will be able to draw\u00a0a\u00a0convincing\u00a0pitch\u00a0to be presented in class.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Big Data Lab<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>Big data is defined as \u201cExtracting insight from an immense volume, variety, and velocity of data, in context, beyond what was previously possible.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The data is\u00a0at the heart of every\u00a0business decision<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0currently\u00a0<strong>new technologies\u00a0allow\u00a0 to extract\u00a0more\u00a0value<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0internal and external\u00a0databases\u00a0to organizations.\u00a0The\u00a0Big Data\u00a0Lab\u00a0is\u00a0to introduce\u00a0participants\u00a0to the\u00a0modern <strong>techniques of\u00a0analyzing\u00a0large volumes of data<\/strong>\u00a0necessary for the\u00a0definition of\u00a0complex\u00a0decision models\u00a0for strategic planning.\u00a0The approach of\u00a0the\u00a0Lab is\u00a0<strong>interactive<\/strong>, with deep attention\u00a0to the practical aspects\u00a0and the use\u00a0of a virtual environment\u00a0for <strong>simulations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Creative of\u00a0competitive scenarios<\/strong>, the working environment\u00a0and decision making processes\u00a0and communication\u00a0in organizations.\u00a0For businesses\u00a0it is essential to develop\u00a0<strong>new skills\u00a0to rethink\u00a0their business<\/strong> and\u00a0internal processes\u00a0in view\u00a0of the opportunities offered\u00a0by digital technologies\u00a0and the risks\u00a0which they\u00a0introduced.<\/p>\n<p>To govern these processes of continuous transformation, it is necessary to decline, compared to individual organizational roles, <strong>a set of skills that range from design thinking, analysis of data and digital communication<\/strong>.\u00a0The Digital\u00a0Skills\u00a0Lab\u00a0provides\u00a0practical interactive\u00a0workshops\u00a0aimed at their\u00a0daily\u00a0work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The content covered in the LAB, touch the main themes of <strong>Social Responsibility<\/strong> and <strong>sustainability<\/strong> including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Impact Investing<\/li>\n<li>co-creation between the private sector and third sector<\/li>\n<li>Ethics in business practices: how and why<\/li>\n<li>developing sustainable practices in some sectors such as Real Estate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Soft Skills Lab<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Few years\u00a0ago,\u00a0 LUISS\u00a0Business School\u00a0has launched\u00a0a\u00a0project entitled\u00a0&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/businessschool.luiss.it\/en\/news-en\/soft-skills-lab\/\">What Companies want<\/a>&#8220;.\u00a0Surprisingly,\u00a0<strong>more than\u00a0200\u00a0companies involved\u00a0in the study\u00a0have provided\u00a0the same answer:\u00a0Soft skills!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The figure\u00a0emerged,\u00a0is that\u00a0despite\u00a0the unquestionable\u00a0importance,<strong>\u00a0&#8220;hard&#8221;\u00a0skills\u00a0are not enough to\u00a0be a good manager, indeed<\/strong>.\u00a0As noted by\u00a0<strong>Prof.\u00a0Luca Giustiniano<\/strong>,\u00a0Associate Professor\u00a0of\u00a0Management\u00a0at LUISS Guido Carli, <strong>the more you climb the\u00a0organizational\u00a0pyramid, the more\u00a0soft skills\u00a0scale\u00a0become\u00a0crucial for\u00a0themselves and their\u00a0employees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Lab\u00a0aims to\u00a0refine\u00a0skills\u00a0and interpersonal skills,\u00a0enabling students to<strong>\u00a0acquire\u00a0effective\u00a0communication strategies\u00a0that are essential\u00a0to fill\u00a0positions of responsibility<\/strong>.\u00a0The course includes\u00a0participation in activities\u00a0of\u00a0Team Work\u00a0Role Playing\u00a0and\u00a0other types of simulations\u00a0on issues such as\u00a0<strong>Negotiation, Public Speaking, Self-Management<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Project Management Lab<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The\u00a0Lab\u00a0focuses\u00a0on the main\u00a0and\u00a0potential opportunities\u00a0related\u00a0to project management.\u00a0The\u00a0Lab\u00a0is based on\u00a0<strong>achieving\u00a0a\u00a0goal-oriented\u00a0logic\u00a0in the presence\u00a0of a triple\u00a0constraint:\u00a0time\u00a0fixed,\u00a0precise\u00a0and quality\u00a0resources<\/strong>.\u00a0These skills\u00a0are necessary and\u00a0indispensable\u00a0for anyone who\u00a0already\u00a0has,\u00a0or\u00a0aspires\u00a0to occupy,\u00a0positions of responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Project Management processes will be explained through <strong>the telling of cases or &#8220;Lesson Learned&#8221;<\/strong>, particularly representative.\u00a0Retracing\u00a0major\u00a0Project Management
