Jannis Kallinikos is Full Professor of Information Systems. His research focuses on the impact of information and communication technologies on organisations and economic institutions and draws on several social science fields, including organisation studies, sociology, communication theory and semiotics and information systems.<\/p>\n
He has published widely in IS, Management and Sociology journals and written several monographs including\u00a0The Consequences of Information: Institutional Implications of Technological Change<\/em>\u00a0(Edward Elgar, 2007),\u00a0Governing Through Technology: Information Artefacts and Social Practice<\/em>\u00a0(Palgrave, 2011). He has together with Paul Leonardi and Bonnie Nardi co-edited\u00a0Materiality and Organizing: Social Interaction in a Technological World<\/em>\u00a0(Oxford University Press, 2012).<\/p>\n Professor Kallinikos is currently senior editor of the\u00a0Journal of Information Technology<\/em>\u00a0and Associate Editor of\u00a0The Information Society and<\/em>\u00a0member of the editorial board of\u00a0Organization Studies.<\/em>\u00a0He has earlier served as senior editor for the\u00a0Journal of the Association of Information Systems<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0the European Journal of Information Systems<\/em>\u00a0and as member of the editorial board<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Jannis Kallinikos is Full Professor of Information Systems.
