The key principle on which the programme is based are cross-fertilisation between statistics, econometric subjects, technology and business acumen and management.

The CAB has been the opportunity for a very interesting discussion between more than 15 participants. During the meeting the importance of the practical experience has been underlined. Students must get out of the master with a pedigree of real life analytics cases implemented using different technologies. In this context data availability for the above is not an issue, as most of the people present offered to provide the students with their own data.

Some cases which are trending at the moment, according to the participants, must be known in depth by the students. Fraud analysis, customer experience, predictive maintenance are some examples. Open Data must be also known in terms of their availability as well as in terms of the ways of publishing them.

Data Governance is finally considered by the CAB members of paramount importance to ensure that any data-centric initiative is successful, especially to bridge the gap between the designers of the solution, comprising the data scientists but not only, and its final users. In summary, the CAB has been a very interesting experience to get a multiple view of the Big Data challenges companies and institutions are facing at the moment.

The programme

14/03/2016

[2
["post-10056","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-en
["GET
