On\u00a0May 19, 2016 <\/strong>from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, as part of the 4th International Mega-Projects Workshop<\/a>, an evening session will be held at LUISS Business School with the Keynote Speaker Mark Thurston<\/strong>, Regional Managing Director at CH2M<\/a>. The session will be focused on major UK programmes<\/strong>, with the participation of high-profile discussants.<\/p>\nThe UK has seen a renaissance in infrastructure investment in the last 10-20 years<\/strong>, from the new terminal 5 at Heathrow airport, the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Crossrail, Thames Tideway tunnel and now High Speed 2, Crossrail 2 and potentially further airport expansion at Heathrow for a third runway. This has been noticed, not just nationally but it has also attracted global interest from academics<\/strong>, the engineering and construction supply chain and clients from as far as Canada, the Middle East and Asia. The draw and development of organisational capability and leadership resources, the understanding of \u201cwhat good looks like\u201d and the understanding of the critical factors that drive successful outcomes<\/strong> have all become much better understood and are being actively shared around the UK \u201cmajor projects\u201d community.
