We are thrilled to announce that the 2025 emma Annual Conference will take place from Tuesday, June 3rd to Thursday, June 5th, in the heart of the Eternal City, Rome, at Luiss Business School. The conference theme, Empowering Media through Sustainable and Human-Centered Innovations, will bring together thought leaders to explore cutting-edge solutions for the media industry’s future. This theme explores the broad concept of sustainability, encompassing environmental, economic, and social dimensions, along with human-centered innovation and entrepreneurship within the media industry. It focuses on adopting sustainable practices that ensure long-term viability, equitable growth, and positive societal impact while leveraging innovative solutions and entrepreneurial approaches.

31 January 2025 – Deadline for abstract submissions
February 14, 2025 – Extended Deadline for abstract submissions- 8 March 2025 – Notification of acceptance; opening of conference registration; opening of full paper submissions
- 15 April 2025 – Deadline for PhD workshop submissions
- 25 April 2025 – Deadline for full paper submissions to be considered for the #emmarome best paper award
- 2 May 2025 – Closing of conference registration
- 3 June 2025 – Pre-conference activities including evening reception
- 4-5 June 2025 – #emmarome Annual Conference
- 6 June 2025 – Social post-conference activity

The tier selection for the conference fee is based on the country of residence, not the country of origin. To determine the applicable fee, you should refer to the country in which you currently reside
