Objectives
The Major in Digital Entertainment Business, held in Amsterdam and Rome, offers students the knowledge, skills and mindset to work within the entertainment industries with a strong emphasis on digital strategies and prepares them for a career in entertainment companies – such as film companies, broadcasters, movies and gaming productions, and music distribution platforms, among others.
The Major starts at the Luiss Business School Amsterdam Hub, where students will have the opportunity to study in a city globally known for its business acumen and innovation, especially in creative industries and entrepreneurship. Besides being the birthplace of one of the major video game studios and many globally successful TV formats, Amsterdam is the headquarter of several large entertainment companies.
This second and final part of the programme will take place at Villa Blanc Campus in Rome, where Luiss Business School has a consolidated experience in Creative and Cultural Industries as well as a strong connection with companies operating in these sectors.

The major aims at training students able to balance art versus commerce, creativity versus technology, and inspiration versus data.
Upon completion of this programme, students have:
- knowledge and understanding of key business and management concepts, theories, and models in the context of the entertainment industries;
- the ability to critically assess these concepts, theories, and models by evaluating the extent to which they are applicable to the entertainment industries;
- the ability to apply these concepts, theories, and models to specific business cases and company challenges in the entertainment industries;
- an understanding of major global trends and how these might affect companies that are active in the entertainment industries;
- the ability to report clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;
- the ability to cooperate and communicate constructively in multidisciplinary and international teams.

The Major in Digital Entertainment Business is aimed at recent graduates — or those graduating soon — interested in developing competencies in the entertainment industries.

Diploma and ECTS
The Master in Management of Creative and Cultural Industries – Major in Digital Entertainment Business is a first-level Degree Programme.
It is accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education as a “Master Universitario di Primo Livello and provides students with 65 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System).
The Master’s Diploma and ECTS will be awarded to participants who have passed all mandatory exams and assessment tests.
