Objectives of the Major in Fashion and Luxury Business
Following the rapid evolution of the job market and the growing request for profiles with a versatile understanding of the fashion and luxury industries, Luiss Business School has launched the Master’s Degree Programme in Fashion and Luxury Business, major of the Master in International Management. The programme offers a modern approach to the field to establish a solid foundation for a successful career.
The programme balances managerial courses with more strategic and creative lectures. The management courses give candidates the knowledge they need to lead companies operating in these industries while the strategic and creative lectures give students a deep understanding of the field’s underlying dynamics.
The programme starts with the foundations and core concepts of Management, Economics, Marketing, and People and Organization to allow students to receive a general managerial education paired with the specialised paths of the major chosen.
The Major in Fashion and Luxury Business, held in Amsterdam and Milan, focuses on the transfer of knowledge of both fashion and luxury industries, as well as developing a business-like approach to these fields.
Students develop an understanding of management techniques of fashion and luxury firms, while focusing on the strategies, management and business actions required to support their future career.

The Major in Fashion and Luxury Business transforms classrooms in meeting spaces between top professionals in the industries and students. Influential guest speakers provide candidates with quality professional experiences, technical notions and compelling case studies to draw inspiration from. Students are shown a 360° vision of the fashion and luxury business scenes. Students furthermore are presented with explanations of career paths within the industries to inspire and direct candidates to the areas best suited to their inclinations and capacities.

Diploma and ECTS
The Master in International Management– Major in Fashion and Luxury Business is a one-year Master of Science equivalent to “Master Universitario di I livello” in accordance with the Italian university system. It provides students with at least 65 ECTS – European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System. At the end of the Programme, the Master’s Diploma “Master Universitario di I livello” will be conferred to participants who have passed exams or others assessment tests envisaged in the study program.
