The objective of the Program is to provide new models for a sustainable economy based on the development and/or on the effective and efficient projects management of social purpose. Firstly, we provide participants with an overview on the new frontiers of the social economy involving overcoming the classic dichotomy for profit – no profit. The management tools will be applicable not only to social enterprises, non-profit, NGOs, foundations, cooperatives, etc.. but also to companies for profit while significantly pursuing social purposes or for-profit enterprises that are seeking to boost their shares of corporate social responsibility. In particular, it aims to:

  • provide basic concepts of Economics and Management applicable to organizations with a social purpose (for the resolution of social problems), both for management and for the start-up;
  • transfer tools and approaches that foster innovation and improvement of services provided by these organizations;
  • stimulate solutions that combine social aspect and for profit, and are therefore economically sustainable over time.
