John Shehata is a solicitor with extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, advising family offices and private capital investors on complex, high-value domestic and cross-border transactions.
As an Equity Partner at BIP Law, he leads the firm’s international development strategy, with a particular emphasis on the Arab region, and he coordinates cross-border legal matters for a global client base. John Shehata also acts as Sports Hub Advisory Partner to LEAP 2026, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s flagship global technology forum, where he supports the strategic integration of sport, media and innovation into the Kingdom’s broader economic diversification agenda.
In addition, he serves as Advisor to the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean on Legal and Institutional Affairs, with a focus on fostering regional cooperation and promoting legal harmonisation across the Euro-Mediterranean area.
His practice encompasses mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures, corporate governance and reorganisations, international arbitration (both as counsel and arbitrator), strategic advisory across the fashion & luxury, sport, media & entertainment, and green economy sectors.
He also lectures as Adjunct Faculty at Luiss Business School, where he focuses on private clients and alternative asset allocation.
