Founder (1995) and owner of “Garofalo & Idee Associate” (www.garofalo.it), a laboratory for companies in the area of developing new product concepts and innovative management training. In his professional experience there are collaborations with Ferrari auto, Lavazza, Pirelli, Geox, Technogym, etc.

From 2005 to 2012 he was president and then member of the board of directors of Trentino Sviluppo S.p.A..

He is lecturer and head of the creative laboratory of the Innovation Master at Cuoa Foundation in Vicenza and adjunct professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Verona, in the course of Leadership and Innovation Management. He is a lecturer at Istituto di Studi Militari Marittimi of the italian Marina Militare at the Venice Arsenal on innovation and creativity, professor of interdisciplinary innovation at the Holden School in Turin and adjunct faculty member at the Luiss Business School.

In the years 2016/17 he was member of the scientific working group of the Camera di Commercio of Trento involved in the definition of the guidelines for the economic growth of Trentino. In 2019 he is member of the Technical Commission for the Assessment of the Structure of Public Companies of the Autonomous Province of Trento.

He has work experience in research and development in the mechanical and energy industries.
