Core Faculty at Luiss Business School and Associate Professor of Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining and Machine Learning at the Department of AI, Data and Decision Sciences of Luiss Guido Carli.

He was Director of the Master’s Degree in Applied Data Science and Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of L’Aquila, where he also coordinated several academic and research projects in collaboration with institutions and companies. Previously, he held research positions at Sapienza University of Rome and was Visiting Researcher at Yahoo Labs in Barcelona.

Prof. Stilo holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of L’Aquila and has been involved in numerous national and European research projects on artificial intelligence, including PNRR and Horizon Europe initiatives.

He teaches in undergraduate, graduate, executive, and master programs, and delivers courses in international and managerial training programs as well.

His research focuses on trustworthy and applied artificial intelligence, with particular emphasis on explainability, bias, and fairness, and he has published in leading international journals and conferences such as AAAI, IJCAI, CIKM, DMKD, and IPM. He was featured by Repubblica among the “500 italiani che contano nell’Intelligenza Artificiale” (2024).
