Since 1-st of January 2016, he has served in Luiss Business School as Lecturer in Organization, HR & Leadership. He teaches Flight Leadership, Decision-making, Negotiation, and Learning Models, in MBA, Executive MBA, Part-Time MBA, and PhD. He is Scientific Director of Leadership in Action, Negotiation, and Decision-making Executive Open Programs and Labs,  while he designs and manages many custom learning programs. His research explores the behavior of teams in decision-making. Specifically, it conducts experimental research on the collaboration and psychological safety of teams operating with automation systems. In 2018 he developed a model hypothesis of human-machine integration. He has designed numerous didactic simulations.

He is a Visiting Fellow at IESEG School of Management in Paris and Lille and at MIT Sloan, where he collaborates with Deborah Ancona. He is a reviewer for the journal Plos One and the Communication, Digital Technology, and Organization and Managerial and Organizational Cognition divisions of the Academy of Management. He was Research Associate at the Chair of Technology Innovation Management at the ETH Zurich (ETH Zürich) and a Research Fellow of the Laboratory of Economics and Management at the Scuola Superiore S. Anna (S. Anna School for Advanced Study) in Pisa. Before LUISS, he spent thirteen years in Bocconi as SDA Professor of Leadership and Managerial Development at SDA Bocconi School of Management and Adjunct Professor of Organization Theory at Bocconi University. He also was Deputy Director of the Research Center in Business Organization (CRORA).

Before 2002, when he joined Bocconi University and Business School, he was engaged in applied research and industrial innovation projects. In the beginning, his interests were in measurement theory, where he published some papers, applied Human Factor in industrial production processes, and managed change while people were dealing with technology innovation. From 1988 to 1991, he had been in ST Microelectronics; from 1991 to 1993 Adjunct Researcher at Faculty of Medicine, Milan University; from 1993 to 1998 at MEMC Electronic Materials and from 1998 to 2002 as Senior Manager in Accenture.
