Abstract:The case analyses the key challenges faced by Orange Fiber during the transition from the startup to the scaleup stage. Orange Fiber is a company producing fabrics from citrus juice byproducts that otherwise would be wasted. The fabrics are produced starting from a silk-like cellulose yarn that can be used either in its purest form or blended with other materials.
Challenges faced by the founders refer to the market, the financial resources needed to sustain the company’s growth, product development, as well as organizational issues.
