Involve individuals whose revolutionary ideas or actions can spark a radical change. This is the aim of TEDxLUISS, event of the TEDx Program, that the University will host on Friday, May 6, 2016, in the Aula Magna located at Viale Pola.
A play on words revolution and evolution, (r)evolution, is the theme of the second edition of TEDxLUISS which guest speakers and the audience will debate to share ambitions and revolutionary projects on the world that surrounds us.
In the spirit of Ideas Worth Spreading, TED’s mission statement since 1984, the TEDx Program is a series of local events organized independently to allow different audiences to have experiences similar to official TED talks.
As per official TED rules, only 100 people are allowed to participate in each talk. To become an audience member, students and staff must apply through the official TEDxLUISS site starting April 7, 2016. Audiences will be chosen by a commission that will evaluate applicants based on their motivation and interest in the event.
During the TEDxLUISS talks, an external event will take place on campus to celebrate innovation, featuring mind-stimulating activities including 3D printers and augmented reality. Those who are not able to attend in person can still see the talks thanks to a simulcast of the conference in another room on campus.
LUISS Business School students can also compete to become speaker at the event: selecting “LUISS Business School” in the application form, students of the Specialised Masters will have the opportunity to participate in the contest open until March 31, 2016, through which the TEDxLUISS committee will choose one student speaker for 2016 edition.
Bring your revolutionary idea to the TED stage!
