Summer School – <b> </b>Made in Italy in Luxury Industries

Objectives

The summer school in Made in Italy in Luxury Industries introduces to key strategic and managerial topics in Luxury industries. The programme is specifically designed to provide participants with a clear overview of these industries along with its current challenges. It is integrated into a set of complementary short modules with the right mix of theory and practice and company visits in order to actively engage participants.

After the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the key charachteristics and differences among Made in Italy industries in terms of managerial practices;
  • Understand the fundamental business models of “Made in Italy” and why their structure might differ across various industries;
  • Learn how successful Italian companies adapt, implement and execute the latest marketing and innovation strategies;
  • Describe and analyze the key features of a luxury brand and get a sense of the prerequisites to be able to build one over time.
  • Analyze the luxury market through a business case made to develop and formulate a strategy based on the market characteristics and opportunities.

Target Audience

The Summer School is open to recent graduates — or those graduating soon — with a Bachelor or Master Degree in any discipline who want to explore the Made in Italy and luxury business industry for the first time.

Day 2

  • Luxury Key Players & Markets
  • Business case analysis
  • Focus on Hospitality and Jewelry
  • Company visit

Day 3

  • Focus on Watch and Fashion
  • Group work & Individual follow-up
  • Company visit

Day 4

  • Omni Channel Strategies in Luxury industries
  • Group work & Individual follow-up
  • Cultural visit

Day 5

  • Group work
  • Group presentation

Tuition and Funding

Tuition 

The tuition fee for the Summer School is € 1.000. Tuition includes materials and access to all Luiss Business School facilities.

For participants enrolling in Luiss Business School Master a.y. 2026-2027, the cost of the week, will be deducted from the cost of the Master programme.

ECTS and Certificate of Participation

The Summer School Made in Italy in Luxury Industries provides students with 4 ECTS – European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System.

At the end of the programme a certificate of participation will be issued to those who have attended at least 80% of the didactic activities included in the programme.
