Maria Isabella Leone got the National Eligibility as Associate Professor in SECS-P/08 in April 2017. She is currently Tenure-Track Senior Lecturer (Rtd-b, ex Art. 24 C3 n.240/2010) at LUISS Guido Carli in Rome, where she teaches Economics and Business, Management of Innovation and recently Digital Business Transformation at different level (master, executive, undergraduate). She is also Faculty Member of the PhD Management Program since 2013. She acts as Co-Director of the Executive Master in Open Innovation and Intellectual Property at the LUISS Business School, sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Development – Trademark and Patent National Office (MISE-UIBM) and she is also one of the members of the Experts Group in IP Evaluation, appointed by the same Ministry (MISE-UIBM) since 2016. She was formerly the Director of the Specialization Course on IP Management and Valuation, in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and MISE-UIBM (2017). She obtained her PhD in Management from UniBo in June 2008 with a doctoral dissertation on “Technology Acquisition through Patent Licensing: Implications for Firm’s Strategy”. She earned a master degree (Summa cum laude with special honour) in Economics and Business from LUISS in 2004 with a thesis on “Strategic and Financial Valuation of intellectual Property Rights: the case of Patents”.
