Ten students and two professors of the College of art of Zayed University arrived in Italy with a delegation of five journalists to attend “The Intercultural Project®“, a training program created  by the school of management and business organisation of Salerno (SDOA) with the aim of fostering the rapprochement of European culture in Arab economic integration, as well as promoting intercultural exchanges and in order to support mutual enrichment as it happened in earlier times.

The President of SDOA, “Grande Ufficiale” Vittorio Paravia, carries on “The Intercultural Project®since 2005. The program is sponsored by Her Highness Sheikha Lubna bint Khaled Al Qassimi, UAE Minister of State for tolerance and President of Zayed University in 2016 was honored with the personal support of his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai.

The delegation visited three regions: Campania, where they had the opportunity to travel in the most beautiful world heritage sites;  Abruzzo, where a visit to CERN was organized; Lazio, with the goal of being able to appreciate the sights especially of Rome. During the program the students attended lectures in art, architecture, literature, design and Italian, and could take part in a special training day at LUISS Business School on topics such as team building, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Specifically, Prof. Andrea Montefusco allowed with his speech to reflect on how the social context, the educational background and personal characteristics can affect the ability of an individual to manage a team and to be part of it effectively.

The entrepreneurship was the main topic of the lesson held by Prof. Riccardo Maiolini. The lesson gave an overview of typical entrepreneurship tapping key issues such as the identification of business opportunities, research and fundraising as well as the growth of organizations.
