He has operated as a turnaround manager in the US and Europe for the past 30 years on behalf of several large international Private Equity funds including Texas Pacific Group, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, Bain Capital USA, & Investcorp. He has recently covered the positions of Chairman of StarEmilia (Mercedes and Smart dealerships) Chairman of Unopiù (luxury garden furniture), Chairman of OMP (car accessories and clothing for professional motorsport racing), CEO of BolognaFiere (the Bologna International Exhibition centre), and Chairman of ISB (luxury yachts).
Between 1996 and 2007 he was CEO & Chairman of Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A., a leading manufacturer of high performance sports motorcycles. His experience also includes Chairman of Uno A Erre (the world’s leading manufacturer of gold jewellery), CEO of Bally International AG, World Wide VP Marketing of Playtex International, General Manager of Benetton USA, consultant for McKinsey & Co. and Bain Cuneo and Associates, and partner of Bain & Co.
