The LUISS Business School training course for the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund on the starting blocks

Roberto Dandi, lecturer LUISS University Guido Carli and scientific director of the project, with the PPAF representatives - Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund Between 22 and 24 January 2019, the kick-off meeting of the project “Poverty Reduction through Rural Development in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Neighboring Areas” was held in Islamabad. It was commissioned by PPAF - Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, funded by AICS - Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and Development Cooperation Department of the Italian Foreign Ministry, and then implemented by the LUISS Business School. The project will consist of 7 intensive training courses on various issues related to rural development and it will be aimed at 95 Pakistani representatives of the PPAF, at the PPAF partner organizations and at governments and local communities in the most vulnerable areas of Pakistan. The courses will be held at the LUISS Business School, as well as in Emilia Romagna, Puglia and Sardinia. Study visits to Italy will show participants the peculiar traditions, structures and innovations for the development of the country, which can be adapted in Pakistan. The expected results include the strengthening of planning and management capacities, the development of an integrated government-community approach within the territorial areas and improvements in areas such as health, education, tourism, local governance. 12/02/2019

MBA International Week with Benetton Group

  An initiative born from the collaboration of LUISS Business School and Benetton Group: the MBA International Week “Benetton Sales Distribution Channel Strategy – The Franchise Expansion” will be held from September 25 to September 29, 2017 in Rome and Treviso. A one-week program will bring together 40 talented students of 14 different nationalities, coming from 9  international business schools, to deal with the Business Case “Benetton Sales Distribution Channel Strategy – The Franchising Expansion”. The business case will challenge the participants to devise an action plan to realise a strategic change of Benetton from a business model based on licensed small stores to an eventual franchise oriented business model. The MBA International Week will lead students to experience the reality of the Benetton Group, giving them an important opportunity of learning, discussion and networking and combining different activities, such as workshops held by Benetton Guest Speakers, team-work and a learning-tour to Benetton distinctive locations. Moreover, the program includes side events and meetings with the Benetton team, which will be a real networking opportunity for all participants. We invite all the participants to use the hashtag #LUISSMBAIW and to tag @LUISSBusiness in their Instagram pictures, videos and stories of the International Week. Some of these pictures will be shared on the official Instagram channel of the Business School.
