Andrea Palaez-Martinez is an Assistant Professor. She received her Ph.D. in Marketing from Baruch College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) in 2024. Her research explores how linguistic phenomena in the marketplace influence decision-making by both consumers and firms. She employs a combination of experimental methods, computational modeling, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning (ML) to harness the potential of online social interactions. Her work provides valuable insights for marketers aiming to leverage user-generated content, particularly in textual form—for strategic advantage.
