Christophe Geiger is Professor of Law. Previously, he taught at the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) of the University of Strasbourg (France), which he leaded as Director General and Director of the Research Department for 11 years.

In addition, he is Spangenberg Fellow in Law & Technology at Case Western Reserve University School of Law’s Spangenberg Center for Law, Technology & the Art. He has been an affiliated senior research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich (Germany) from 2008 to 2022, and President of the ATRIP, the International Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property from 2022 to 2024. He served as visiting Professor in many universities, his latest appointment being Global Hauser Visiting Professor at the New York University (NYU) School of Law (Fall 2023 and Spring Semester 2017), Visiting International Faculty at the Hanken School of Economics (Helsinki, Finland) and Huazhong University of Science & Technology Guest Professor in Wuhan (China) in 2018. His key competences in academia include national, European, international and comparative copyright and intellectual property law, competition, human rights, international trade law and European Union law.
