José-Luis is a Professor of Economics and Finance at Luiss; he is also a Research Fellow at EIEF. His research on banking, macro-finance, monetary policy, international finance, debt and money has been published in the top journals in the world for Economics and Finance as well as he has presented in the top academic departments, including business schools, as well as in the main central banks around the world. He has written a book on “Systemic Risk, Crises and Macroprudential Policy” published by MIT Press. José-Luis collaborates with the European Central Bank and the European Security Markets Authority. He was granted a Consolidator ERC grant on persistent economic effects of massive debt. José-Luis holds a PhD in Finance from INSEAD (2005) and was awarded with the first prize by the Government of Spain for the student with highest GPA in finishing a Bachelor in Economics in Spain in 1998.
