Bisan is an Assistant Professor in Economy and Business Management, focusing on Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Learning Processes, Team Formation, and Startup Growth. She is engaged in the project ‘Rome Technopole’ Research and Innovation Program under the PNRR, aiming to create and strengthen ‘Innovation Ecosystems’ and construct ‘Territorial R&D Leaders’.

She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with honors from Central European University (CEU), accredited by the New York State Education Department. Prior to that, she earned an MBA from a joint program between CEU and New York Polytechnic University and a bachelor’s degree in Physics. Bisan also completed an executive program in startup formation at Bocconi University.

Her research delves into innovation and internationalization strategies, focusing on the role of firm networks in scalability. Deploying quantitative and qualitative research methods, she contributed to the literature on network-based strategies, knowledge management, organizational ambidexterity, and collective intelligence. Her research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Business Process Management Journal, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change.

In addition to her research, Bisan has been instrumental in the academic and practical fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. Since 2017, she has taught innovation and entrepreneurship courses at the American University of Rome, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, and MIT SandBox Explorer program, employing experiential learning and reversed classroom methodologies to enhance student learning experiences. Her professional engagements extend beyond academia into technology transfer and innovation management as she has worked with notable organizations such as the Italian National Research Council, LVenture Group, and the European Investment Bank in Europe and contributed to the Erasmus+ AgriEngage EU project in Africa.
