Giuseppe Arbia is a Full Professor of Business Statistics at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milano. He has been Associate Professor of Statistics at the University of Trento, Full Professor of Economic Statistics at the University of Padua, Full Professor of Statistics at the University “G.D’Annunzio of Pescara”. Working on Spatial Statistics and Spatial Econometrics and published four monographs (for Palgrave Macmillan, Kluwer, Springer Verlag and CEDAM), 8 chapters of books and more than 150 articles 45 of them in ISI Thompson journals. Member of the editorial board of the journal “Empirical Economics”. Since 2006 President of the Spatial Econometrics Association and in 2016 became member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Statistical Society. He is also a member of many scientific societies (the International Statistical Institute, the American Statistical Association, the Royal Statistical Society, the Regional Science Association and the Italian Statistical Society. He is also a lecturer of Statistics at Universita della Svizzera Italiana, Lugano and Research Professor College of William Mary Williamsburg Virginia (US).
