From June, 2016, our LUISS MBA Alumnus Massimiliano Guzzini, has been appointed President at ASSIL (the Association of Italian Lighting Manufacturers).

Key objective of the Association is to bring the position of lighting manufacturers operating on the Italian market at EU level, where all the decisions influencing industrial strategies are taken.

The Association participates in the Working Groups of ANIE Federation and Confindustria concerning the environment and energy efficiency. It operates with the Ministries responsible for the transposition of EU Directives, in the planning of industrial policies and the development of national legislation regarding lighting. ASSIL interfaces with ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) for the development of studies and projects by providing data, information and advice on the state of the art of lighting technology.

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the LUISS MBA class of 1997, Massimiliano has had a long International career at iGuzzini. He served as Chief of the Shanghai branch, to become Vice Chairman and Chairman at iGuzzini Lighting China.

In 2011 he joined the HQ at iGuzzini in Recanati, first as Market Development Director and then as Business Innovation Network Director and Vice President of the company.
